v The lack of vitamins blocks the functions of metabolism in some parts of the cell or whole body.

v Vitamins have catalytic functions in the body, they act as co-enzymes of other enzymes in the metabolism of other biomolecules like proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids.

v Vitamins are also the part of different biological membranes and maintain their integrity

v Some vitamins control the synthesis of different enzymes in the cell.

v The deficiency of different vitamins produces different diseases in the body.

v Vitamins allow our body to develop and grow properly.
